You can track this IMEI number using many ways, the most common method to get the IMEI number on your device is dialing a code. There is a universal code known as *#06#. All you have to do is to type this number and as soon as you did you will see the IMEI number of your device. If you are using an iPhone, there are some methods too where you can get the IMEI number. If you are using an iphone5, 5c, 5s or original iphone, easiest way is to turn your phone and there you can see this 15 digits number engraved at the bottom. In case if your iphone does not turned on, still there is a way is a way, all you have to do is connect your device to the computer and open iTunes, there select the iphone from the device menu and click on the summary tab. There click the phone number and you will get the IMEI number of your device. Another important thing to be considered is if you use AT &T or T-Mobile networks they use IMEI numbers but when you come to CDMA networks they use MEID numbers. Another way which you can find out your phone's IMEI number is once you remove the battery from your phone the IMEI number is printed on a sticker and it's pasted on the place where you put the battery in. out of all these there is another way too where you can get this number, it's in the original packing box of your phone. It's listed with the barcode and serial number and you can clearly view it. You can track your phone using this IMEI number with the help of the telecom operator or there are some software applications which will support you too. If your phone is stolen you can inform the IMEI number to your telecom operator and as soon as the stolen phone get connected to any of the network operator will be notified with the location. So it's easy to know where the phone is. And the other method is toinstall a software. But this should be done as soon as you purchase the phone. This is not 100% accurate. But as long as the software is there and activated in the stolen phone you can track.
